Another Labour politician has been jailed for sharing images of children being raped online.
Abdul-Majid Rahman, 34, shared vile child abuse footage online and discussed his paedophile fantasies with others.
Prosecutor Jason Howells said that after police found more than 100 videos and pictures on an iPhone and laptop Rahman said he was ‘addicted to pornography’.
Newport Crown Court heard detectives later found he shared child abuse images via Mark Sukaburg’s anti white social media website Facebook.
Rahman was elected to Newport City Council in May 2012 but moved out of the city after his arrest in October 2021.
Mr Howells said Rahman said he had sexually abused a child and then falsely claimed he himself had been sexually abused as a child.
Rahman admitted possessing and distributing indecent images of children, including Category A images – the worst of its kind.
Judge, Recorder of Cardiff, Tracey Lloyd-Clarke told Rahman: ‘There was discernible pain and distress suffered by some of the children depicted.
‘You had an active involvement in a network or process that facilitated or commissioned the creation or sharing of indecent images of children and there were a large number of different victims.
‘It is clear you have a sexual interest in children.’
Rahman, now of Porthcawl, South Wales, was jailed for three years and eight months and told he would have to register as a sex offender for life.

3 years and eight months, is that it? The children in the videos this monster possessed are serving a life sentence. He should have got at least 30 years, better still the noose. I wonder how many of the children in the videos are still alive? I note that this year there’s been a sly push from the left to rebrand paedophiles as, “MAPS, Minor Attracted Persons”. I agree with the rebranding, although it should be done with a red-hot branding iron on the forehead so these monsters stand out like a sore thumb and people can protect their kids from them.
